The World Geothermal Congress (WGC) 2020 will be in Reykjavik, Iceland in the Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre. Iceland is a country that has shown so clearly to the world how renewable energy can power a modern economy in the 21st century. The Icelandic geothermal community has played a vital role in the technological development of geothermal power for the past decades, not only in power generation but also in district heating and direct use.
WGC will bring together the entire global geothermal community in Reykjavik. This congress will be a unique opportunity to see first-hand how Iceland became a global leader in geothermal utilization on short field trips in the evenings or longer excursions to the islands many geothermal areas.
